Every child is an individual and each family has its own unique issues. Ramakrishna Mission Boys’ Home has a multifaceted programme plan in place to address the different needs of children and their families. We are committed to the holistic development of our residents to realise their full potential, and a multi-dimensional approach to empower the families to develop strategies to improve their situations and be prepared for
re-unification.
Top priority is given to education. Our residents go to mainstream schools, preferably near the Home. Help and guidance are provided by the Swamis, care staff, professional intervention (when required), and tutors (volunteers). A well thought-up routine has been developed to facilitate the growth and progress of each individuals. Structured study periods ensures that the residents are gainfully engaged to study and to complete their school assignments timely. Their progress is closely monitored by keeping in touch with the schools and through periodic discussions with the tutors
Regular informal sessions and ad-hoc free discussion on moral values are conducted to impart good Values to the residents and strengthen their character. The imparting of these values is intensified during spiritual classes conducted weekly by the Swamis. Through the years, many boys have graduated from this Home to become upright and responsible adults with positive contributions to the society.
